Eddie Stancil

Fair Play – Eddie L. Stancil, 73, husband of Deborah Britt Stancil, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2020, at An Med Health Medical Center.

 

Born in Fair Play, SC, he was the son of the late Rev. Robert Edgar and Mary Frances Russell Stancil. Eddie was a retired Law Enforcement Officer having served 42 years with Anderson and Oconee County and was also a United States Army Veteran having served during Vietnam and was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church. Eddie was known for his singing and playing the mandolin for many years with Heaven’s Echoes and his greatest passion was spending time with his grandsons.

 

Eddie is survived by his wife, Debbie Britt Stancil of  52 years; son, Todd Stancil of Powdersville; daughter, Tracy Neisler and husband Chad of Danielsville, GA; brother, Rev. Larry E. Stancil and wife Karen of Townville; and sisters, Jeanene Evans and husband Jack of Bowersville, Georgia, Avelene Brewer and husband Lane of Seneca, and Sandra Harper and husband Tommy of Fair Play; and two grandchildren, Joseph Olds and Van Stancil.

 

Funeral Services will be held 2pm, Saturday, August 22nd, 2020 at Beaverdam Baptist Church, burial will follow at Beaverdam Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 pm- 2pm, Saturday, August 22nd, 2020 at Beaverdam Baptist Church prior to the service.
