Early voting could again factor

Election day is fewer than 100 days from now.  And, once again in South Carolina, mail-in or in-person absentee voting could play a big role in just how many this year’s vote for President will attract.  So far in Oconee County, the elections director says, the county has received around 300 completed applications requesting absentee ballots.  When approved, Joy Scharich says, the ballots will be mailed to voters in October.  One of the more common criteria to vote absentee is senior citizen status.  For those who’d like to vote early, you can contact the Oconee Registration and Elections Office in Walhalla.
