Early qualifying for Salem election

Lynn Towe has signed up to seek his first, full term as mayor of Salem.  In the running for two council seats, so far, are incumbents Judy Hines and Kevin Talley.  By the 11 o’clock hour this morning, there had been no filers for the Westminster election and no new qualifying in either the Walhalla or West Union candidate fields.  Filing deadline is August 26.  Election Day is November 5.
