Early morning West Union home fire

An early morning home fire in West Union has displaced one person, but caused no personal injuries, according to information received by 101.7/WGOG NEWS.  That individual can thank a working smoke detector that alerted him and saved him from injury or death. The fire on West Union’s Church Street was reported at 4:10 this morning.  Nearly two hours later, fire fighters remained at the scene awaiting response from Red Cross, along with a team of investigators to determine why the fire started.
