Durwood Carroll
Westminster– Durwood Carroll, 71, husband of Janie Johnson Marcus Carroll, passed away Sunday, August 21st, 2022 at his residence.
Born in Florida, Durwood was the son of the late Woodrow and Jewell Howard Carroll. Durwood was the co-owner and operator of C and W Stucco, had a great passion for masonry and stucco work, rock and stone collecting, fishing, hiking, and was known for being a practical joker.
Durwood is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Janie Johnson Marcus Carroll; children, Michael Carroll, Nicholas Carroll, Christopher Moore, Debbie Bright, Mary Bradham Spooney and Jennifer Moore Shook (Jr); sister, Virnnett Fleming (Jason); mother in law, Alieen Kay (the late Joe Henry Marcus);nine grandchildren, and a special granddaughter, Kirstie Carroll and three great grandchildren, Eric Littleton, Emma Harden, and Gracie LeCory; a Godson, Tristan Levi Blackwell and a Goddaughter, Oceana Carolyn Rose Blackwell.
In addition to his parents, Durwood was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
A private graveside service will be held at the Carroll Family Cemetery per Durwood’s wishes.
