Duncan applauds nuke waste storage vote

U-S Rep. Jeff Duncan hails the passage of House Resolution 3053—the Nuclear Waste Policy Amendments Act. “The law of the land is clear – Yucca Mountain should act as the nation’s long-0term nuclear waste repository. For decades, ratepayers in South Carolina have paid over $1.3 billion in fees to construct and operate this safe, long-term storage site. However, Yucca Mountain is still not in operation despite the billions paid by South Carolinians and ratepayers across the country,” the 3rd District representative said in a statement issued yesterday in Washington.
