Duke Energy happy to return the favor

Duke Energy workers from across the utility’s service area have been leaving for Louisiana to help restore the electric grid in the state hard hit by Hurricane Ida.  A Duke spokesman, Ryan Mosier, says his company in the past has been the recipient of mutual assistance many times from hurricanes to ice storms, and Duke is happy to return the favor.  Examples:  A Duke team left Florence early this morning for the Gulf.  Yesterday about 150 Duke workers departed from their Florida territory for Louisiana and this morning more than 60 left from parts of the Carolinas.  The transmission system must be rebuilt in places such as New Orleans, where much of that city is still without service.
