Drive-thru vaccine event next week in Walhalla

The Oconee County Library in Walhalla will be the scene next week of a drive-thru event to vaccinate people against COVID-19.  It will be an 8-hour event, to run from noon to 8 pm on Wednesday, September 8 at the library, 501 W. South Broad Street.  The vaccine is free to anyone, aged 12 and higher.  If available, please bring insurance card and photo ID.  They are not required for a vaccine, and those who roll up their sleeves will not be charged.  Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome.  The vaccine clinic is made possible through an initiative of Healthy Me-Health SC.  The clinic is considered important to community members who went to James Brown Elementary August 12 for their first shot.  Those who did so are encouraged to get their second shot next week.
