Drive-thru a 2020 priority for Walhalla mayor

At the first regular meeting of 2020, the Walhalla mayor announced about one dozen projects for which he will carry hope through the year to see accomplished or, at the least, progress to completion. One of those projects is a drive-thru window at the City Hall. Mayor Edwards says a drive-thru would be especially useful to senior citizens who could motor to City Hall and pay their utility bills without having to get out of their cars. Councilman David Underwood, chairman of the utilities department, was ecstatic last night to hear the mayor talk about a drive-thru. To install a drive-thru window, it’ll be necessary for the city to re-configure the parking lot to the side of the building.
