Dr. Ronald Bruce Clapp

 

 

Seneca- Dr. Ronald Bruce Clapp, 83, passed away June 20th, 2020, at Prisma Health Cottingham Hospice House, with his daughter, Debbie at his side.

 

Born in Brewster, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Robert Jerrold and Dorris Moody Clapp. Ronald attended Mount Herman Boarding School, Suffolk University in Boston for his undergraduate degree, and New England College of Optometry where he earned his doctorate. He had a passion for gardening, was an avid outdoorsman with a deep love for his home in Maine, which he affectionately called “Wildland” and was a member of Saint Mark United Methodist Church, of Seneca.

 

Dr. Clapp is survived by son, Mark Steele of Dixmont, Maine; daughters, Debbie Walter of Rockport, Massachusetts, Holly Rogers of Dalton, Massachusetts; a brother Carl L. Clapp of Harwichport, Massachusetts; grandchildren, Michael Clapp, Hannah Rogers, Zachary Rogers, Emily Walter; a great grandchild, Vincent Leonard Clapp; and his faithful dog Tavish.

 

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
