Dorothy Dyar

Westminster – Dorothy Pauline King Dyar, 76, wife of Larry Earl Dyar, was born on March 16, 1946, and reborn on March 16, 2022, when she joined her Lord and Savior.

 

A native of Madison, SC, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Paul Vinton and Dorothy Marie Hardy King. She worked for many years as a seamstress at Jantzen, later retiring from Sunshine Cleaning. Dorothy enjoyed quilting, crafting, reading her bible, praying for others, and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

 

In addition to her husband, Dorothy is survived by sons, Larry Keith Dyar (Reba Joy) of Westminster, Andrew Earl Dyar (Taylor Nicole) of Westminster; daughter, Donna Lynn Bryson of Westminster; brothers, Kenneth King (Linda) of Westminster, David King (Sue) of Westminster; granddaughters, Brittany Marie Grant, Amber Lynn Beaty; nephew, Clay King; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.  

 

In addition to her parents, Dorothy is preceded in death by daughters, Dorothy Lorene Dyar Grant and Melissa Renee Dyar Brown; and son-in-law, Gregory Vester Bryson.

 

A funeral service will be held, at 4 pm, Saturday, March 19, 2022, at the Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel. Dorothy will be laid to rest at a later date at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 pm to 3:30 pm, Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Sandifer Funeral Home, prior to the service.
