Don’t lose sight of Westminster, especially at apple time–Suttles

Because of controversies that have befallen Westminster, the city has sustained a blow to its psyche.  But one of the city’s outspoken promoters urges everyone not to lose sight of the good in the city–especially as the calendar turns from August to September and the region celebrates the 2020 apple crop.  There is no South Carolina Apple Festival in its usual form this year, but September 9-12 is set aside to celebrate in other ways.  And they, according to Jane Suttles, include buying apples from the growers and decorating business and home windows with apple displays.  Suttles is president of the Apple Festival Association. The theme for the 59th festival is “An Apple a Day Keeps the Doctor Away.”
