Domestic disturbance investigation near Seneca

At an address near Seneca, on Brookwood Drive, Oconee deputies arrested a 28-year old man on multiple charges, including the charge of criminal sexual conduct with a minor first degree.  They had gone to the address in response to reports of domestic disturbance, and wound up filing multiple charges against Gregory Scott Clark Greynolds Jr., including the charge sex offender registry violation first offense.  According to the sheriff’s office, the charge of criminal sexual conduct was elevated to a first degree offense “due to the fact that the victim was under 16 years of age and Greynolds Jr. had been convicted of an offense that required him to register as a sex offender.”  A second person arrested, 24-year old Richard William Mathews Jr. of Seneca, was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
