Does Underwood have any regrets? (vote aftermath)

Two mornings after a Walhalla councilman pitched a battle for a $25 dollar water re-connection fee for those who can’t or won’t pay their bills, the question arises: Does he regret not siding with colleagues who wanted to lower fee from $65 to $35? Had he, the fee would have been cut in a 4-2 vote by $30. Councilman David Underwood explains why he stuck to his guns and pushed for $25 dollars. It had to do with some of the people who had signed petitions for $25 dollars. Underwood referred to State Rep. and former Walhalla mayor Bill Whitmire, County Councilman Wayne McCall, and former county and city councilman Tommy Crumpton who signed his petition for $25 dollars. Underwood sees what went down Tuesday night as a lost battle, but he’s determined to win the war and says he won’t give up.
