Deputies to be equipped with new pistols

Oconee Sheriff’s Office changes weaponry about every ten years, and it’s time. So, in the next couple of months the personnel who carry weaponry are to be equipped with pistols that feature an optic component that’ll emit a green LED light, to lead to better accuracy in the event a deputy is required to shoot.  Besides, the new pistols the approximate 125-armed officers will continue to keep their existing rifles and Glock guns.
