Dennis Samuel Mason
Westminster – Dennis Samuel Mason, 76, husband of Joanne O’Kelley Mason, passed away Saturday, March 6th, 2021 at his residence.
A native of Westminster, he was the son of the late Clayton Mason and Virginia Grogan and a member of Cross Road Baptist Church #2. Dennis retired from Duke Power where he worked as a quality control inspector and was a United States Air Force Veteran serving in intelligence. Dennis had a great passion for gardening, hunting, and fishing, and enjoyed reading. Dennis was also an avid Clemson sports fan and his greatest love was watching his grandchildren play.
Survivors in addition to his wife, Joanne O’Kelley Mason of 53 years, include a son, James Robert Mason of Westminster; daughters, Cathy D. Watkins and husband Gary of Walhalla, Debbie Stephens and husband Jeff of Westminster, and Jennifer Smith and husband Charles of Westminster; eight grandchildren, Ashley Argo, Hannah Watkins, Amber Mason, Alex Smith, Austin Stephens, Dustin Smith, Levi Smith, and Nathan Smith; three great-grandchildren, Aaliya Argo, Samuel Argo and Riley Mason; and special “son” Kevin Bastien of Georgia, and several special cousins.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, March 9th, 2021 from the chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home with burial to follow at Heritage Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends following the service back at Cross Roads Baptist Church #2.
