Defendant better suited for the drug court

Court officers agreed yesterday that a young man with a criminal past is better suited for the Oconee County Drug Court. And a General Sessions judge complied by remanding Ronzeal Earle to the drug court in hopes that he will take advantage of the opportunities there to straighten out his life. Earle yesterday pleaded guilty to financial identification fraud and shoplifting. In two of the incidents, he was charged with walking out of the Wal-Mart carrying 32” and 43” screen television sets without paying for them. Defense lawyer Gruber Sires said Earle has a history of drug habits, and Earle told Judge McIntosh he would welcome a chance in drug court.
