Deer tags in your mailbox soon
Free deer tags are promised this year for a variety of South Carolina hunters. The DNR says those deer hunters who last year held Lifetime, Senior, Gratis, and Catawba licenses will automatically receive a free base set of tags this year and into the future. Youth and Disability license holders must still request their free base set of tags. Deer hunters have an active or three-year hunting license and big game permit, combination license, which will be valid August 15, automatically get a base set of tags.
