Dean Wood
Fair Play – Stanley Dean Wood, 68, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023 at Prisma Health – Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born May 10th, 1955, in Oconee County, South Carolina, Dean was the son of the late James Columbus “Shorty” and Joyce Neese Wood. Dean was a retired self-employed logger, who enjoyed spending time with his horses, watching westerns on tv, telling stories, but his greatest love of all was his granddaughter.
Dean is survived by his son, Clay James “CJ” Campbell of Fair Play; two sisters, Debra Allen of Anderson, and Libby Whitten of Townville; and one special granddaughter, Emma Campbell.
In addition to his parents, Dean is preceded in death by his brothers, Richard Wood and Carey Wood; and sister, Gail Williams.
A Graveside Service will be held 2:00 pm, Wednesday, December 20th, 2023 at Fair Play Church of God. The family will receive friends 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Tuesday, December 19th, 2023 at Sandifer Funeral Home.
