DEA agents take part in Oconee drug seizure

Agents from the U-S Drug Enforcement Agency joined Oconee investigators as two pounds of methamphetamine were seized Monday at a home in southern Oconee County.  From that seizure, according to the sheriff’s office, Sarah Francine Deill was arrested and charged with trafficking in meth and possession with intent to distribute LSD.  One of two Deill’s addresses is the arrest scene, a home on the Earles Grove Road.  A search warrant was obtained in relation to a shooting on Earles Grove Road, and about that, the sheriff’s office made this statement:  “The investigation into the shooting began Sunday morning after deputies responded to Earles Grove Road and Memory Lane in Westminster.  Upon arriving at the incident scene, deputies from the Uniform Patrol Division discovered a silver truck but could not locate a victim.  Deputies later learned that the victim was transported by a separate vehicle to the hospital before they arrived at the incident scene.  Deputies spoke with the female victim at the hospital as she was receiving treatment for a gunshot wound to the upper torso.”
