David “Daisy” Rogers

Walhalla, SC – David “Daisy” Rogers, 81, of 106 Yellow Bell Drive, Walhalla, passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021, at Oconee Memorial Hospital.

 

A native of Oconee County, Daisy was the son of the late Bobby Lee Rogers and Mary Virginia Potts Rogers. He was the owner and operator of a Pool Hall for 35 years. Daisy was a member of the National Guard and was of the Baptist faith.

 

Daisy is survived by his sons: Tony Rogers and Bobby Lee Rogers both of Westminster and James Eric Rogers of Massachusetts; two grandchildren: Sarah Grace Rogers and David Wiley Rogers; sisters: Margaret Nichols of Westminster; Louise Elliott of Walhalla and Lynn Brennan of Seneca; and a special friend: Virginia “Sis” Alexander Cantrell.

 

In addition to his parents, Daisy was preceded in death by a brother: James Rogers; and sister: Mary Ann Nix.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 20, 2021, at Davenport Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

 

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM, Friday, prior to the service, at Davenport Funeral Home.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lakeview Assisted Living, 320 Camp Road, Walhalla, SC 29691.

 

The family will be at the home of Virginia “Sis” Alexander Cantrell, 220 S. Abbott Road, Walhalla, SC, and at their respective homes.
