Dallas developer with Texas-size Oconee plans

Things get done big in Texas, and a developer from Dallas has big things in store for Oconee County, as long as he can secure piped sewer at a fair and reasonable cost.  Brent Little of Fountain Residential Partners, currently at work on the Dockside project in Clemson, wants to extend university apartment living to a pair of large parcels on US 123 in the vicinity of Paws Restaurant and the TDC Greenfield manufacturing plant.  In all, Little told the Joint Regional Sewer commissioners that he wants to build as many as 400 units of housing.  He’s confident water and electric power service are available, but explained the need “for a little bit of sewer.”  The sewer commissioners received the presentation as information, although Westminster’s Kevin Bronson questioned the  priority the authority should place on the housing project, considering the problems facing the Flat Rock pump station near Walhalla are considered to be the top priority on a system-wide capital improvement list that is in the making.
