Crimes in rural Oconee lead to arrest on Wednesday

A 23-year old man was charged this week with crimes last May at an address in the Madison-Cleveland area of Oconee County. Law enforcement authorities list the following charges against Cleveland Pike Road resident Jeffrey Seth Lamar Hawkins: burglary/safe cracking, larceny, and wearing masks. According to arrest warrants issued by Magistrate Daniel Pollock, Hawkins is accused of wearing a mask to conceal his face as he allegedly took $600 dollars worth of property belonging to the victim at an address on Bridge Road.
