Crime alleged against federally-chartered financial institution

A Westminster woman is accused of committing a crime against a federally chartered financial institution in Seneca. An arrest warrant announced by the Seneca police alleges Marletha Carleta Crista Baker is accused of intent to defraud the Oconee Federal Savings and Loan by cashing three checks that she knew to be fraudulently obtained and received $14,900 dollars between April 25 and May 1 at the savings and loan. According to the police report, Baker turned herself over to the police Monday and was arrested.
