COVID-19 temporarily puts social service agency on hold

101.7/WGOG NEWS recently reported that Oconee United Ministries, formerly called the Oconee Presbyterian Service Fund, is among several social service agencies able to help those in need at this time.  We have been set straight by the group’s leader, Dee French of Chickasaw Point.  Because the group is made up mostly of volunteers that are considered high-risk for the Covid-19 virus, French tells us, Oconee United Ministries, for now, has been forced to stop its assistance programs.
