COVID-19 discussions to resume in Westminster

Talk about COVID-19 will pick back up next week at a special meeting of the Westminster City Council.  It’s one of several items for a meeting planned for 5 o’clock Wednesday evening, July 22 in the training room at the city fire department.  The name of Councilman Brad Chastain is linked with the agenda item.  Last week Chastain implored his colleagues to consider, at the least, a directive that would require face coverings in businesses such as grocery stores and pharmacies, especially businesses often frequented by senior citizens who are one of the vulnerable groups for catching and dying from the virus.  But the consensus at last week’s meeting was to have the city attorney prepare a resolution that will encourage the wearing of masks.
