Council seat available in Clemson in early 2021

The board of Voter Registration and Elections in Pickens County will conduct a special election in 2021 to fill a seat on the Clemson City Council.  Clemson residents are eligible to declare for the unexpired term of Robert Halfacre, who is moving into the mayor’s office.  The special election is to take place March 23, and all registered Clemson voters who have lived in the city for a period of no fewer than six months may file as candidates during a period from January 15-29.  Candidates are required to complete a form and pay a $10 filing fee.
