Corner building downtown to be available

In this election cycle, a downtown Seneca building is being used as Oconee GOP headquarters.  But, following the November election, a corner building at E. Main and N. Townville will become available, and a member of the family that owns the building has been talking to potential suitors. And today 101.7/WGOG NEWS spoke to Richie Pierce, whose family owns the building and until a year ago operated the Fashion Shack clothes store there.  For many years, the building was the main location for Turner’s Jewelers.  Pierce believes the four thousand square feet downstairs may be best suited for retail, possibly a restaurant.  He believes the three thousand square feet upstairs, with restoration work, lends itself to office commercial.  “It’s a pretty unique building.  You don’t really see it when you are downstairs.  But if you go upstairs, you can get a really good feel for the uniqueness of it,” he said.
