Contract awarded for Oconee Memorial building project

A Greenville contractor has been awarded the contract this fall to expand the Oconee Memorial emergency department by 13,500 square feet. The announcement was made last night by Hunter Kome, chief operating officer for the campus of Prisma Oconee Memorial. Kome told the hospital Holdings Board that Triangle is no stranger to the local hospital. The company built the existing emergency department in 1997. Parent corporation Prisma has committed $12 million toward the project, but Oconee hospital is helping, as well. Cortni Nations says the goal of the local foundation is to raise $1 million for the project.
