Committee to find Dr. Booth’s successor

A three-member committee is in place to find the successor to Dr. Ronnie Booth, who retires as president of Tri-County Technical College at the end of next June. That committee includes John Powell of Walhalla, chairman of the Tech commission covering Oconee, Anderson and Pickens counties. Joining Powell is Murph Fore, president of the Horry-Georgetown Technical College, along with Garvin Barker, manager of Schneider Electric in Oconee and a member of the state board for technical colleges.
