Co-defendant admits guilt in stabbing incident

One of two people arrested in a stabbing late last winter admitted his guilt yesterday in the Oconee courtroom and received a sentence that sends him to prison for five years. Deputy Solicitor Lindsey Simmons said Terry Dale Glauner pleaded guilty to charges of resisting arrest with assault and assault and battery first degree. Glauner and a second person were arrested March 13 after a man was stabbed in a wooded area between Radio Station Road and the Wells Highway that authorities say was used as a homeless encampment. One of the conditions of the sentence imposed by Judge Sprouse is that Glauner make no future contact with the man who was stabbed. The victim was flown for treatment at a Greenville hospital after, warrants alleged,an attempt was made to stab him in the heart. Glauner gave arresting authorities an address of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
