Clifton Garland

Seneca – Clifton Arlie Garland, 75, husband of the late Betty Nix Garland, passed away on Friday, September 29^th, 2023 at his residence.

 

Born in Arlington, Virginia, Clifton was the son of the late Ambrose Frank Garland and Vina Russell Pierce and Cecil Pierce. He was a United States, Navy Veterans having served during the Vietnam War, who retired from Milliken and had a great passion for golfing and enjoyed fishing.

 

Clifton is survived by his son, Jeffrey “Jeff” Allan Garland and his wife, Cyndi Love Garland of Savannah, Tennessee; step daughter, Lisa Nix of Seneca, South Carolina; six grandchildren, Tanner Garland, Trevor Garland, Clara Garland; two step grandchildren, Jason Stephens (Emily), and Justin Stephens (Sarah); and four step great grandchildren, Sawyer and Mattie Stephens, and Emerson and Judah Stephens.

 

Clifton is preceded in death by his parents and his wife; and three brothers, Jimmy, Charlie and Frankie Garland; and a sister, Blanche Fuller.

 

A private family service will be held at a later time.
