Cleo Patricia Smith McClung

  Cleo Patricia Smith McClung, 91, went peacefully to be with her Lord, Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at Marietta Living Center in Marietta, Ga.

 

   Born in Long Creek on May, 14 1932 to Walter Duboy and Viola Adams Smith, she was a child of 12 children.  Cleo was a member of Long Creek Baptist Church.

  

   Growing up working on the family farm she moved to Smyrna, Ga. where she lived until her movement into Marietta Living Center.  She worked Security for 30 years with Wells Fargo and loved working for Waffle House in Smyrna, Ga. for 42 years.

 

   Surviving are daughters Janice Matheson-Holbrooks and husband, Steven of Westminster and Becky Foster of Bell, Fl; Grandson, Kevin Matheson and wife, Stephanie, of Westminster; Great granddaughter, Emily Matheson, of Clemson and Great Grandson John-Furman Matheson of Westminster;  Brothers; Jesse Smith of New Bern, NC and Lonnie Smith of LaGrange Ga.; Sister, Bessie Matheson of Long Creek.

 

   Cleo was preceded in death by husband, Andrew McClung; Son in law, David Matheson, Parents; Brothers; Clem Smith, Clyde Smith, Jim Smith and Raymond Smith; Sisters; Vossie Beck, Christine Smith, Eva Smith and Annie Smith.

 

   Funeral services will be conducted at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel, Westminster, SC, Monday, June 12^th at 4:00 pm.  Visitation following the service.  Interment will be at a later date.
