Clemson Eye to build in Oconee

On Pete Dimopolous land cleared for development, Clemson Eye’s new location will be Union Station Drive off 123 in Oconee County.  The plans for the eye and medical business to re-locate its Tiger Boulevard, Clemson location west into Oconee were confirmed yesterday by Courtney Mitchell, director of marketing for at Eye Health America.  Mitchell says current plans call for a two-story, 20 thousand square foot building by the Trehel Corporation.  Groundbreaking is likely in the next 30-45 days with construction taking about one year.  To get an idea of what the building will resemble, according to Mitchell, one need only to take a look at Clemson Eye’s location on Pelham Road, Greenville.  What’s behind the move, Mitchell says, is what she calls the explosive growth of late in Oconee, Anderson, and Pickens counties.
