Class teaches the law enforcement experience

A class offered to the public by the Oconee Sheriff’s Office helps de-mystify the law enforcement experience. Citizen police academies are one way the Sheriff’s Office can connect better with the public it serves.  The deadline to enroll in this fall’s academy is the end of the business day Friday, September 1. Students get to meet the command staff and many of the deputy sheriffs.  Class topics include patrol operations, equipment, criminal investigations, E-911, SWAT team operations, along with a judicial overview from local judges.  Classes take place between September and November.  If you are interested, you are invited to fill out an application at www.oconeelaw.com.
