Clarification on shooting story last week

There is clarification this afternoon on the details of a shooting last weekend in Seneca. The following statement was released this afternoon by Chief John Covington of the police department: “In reference to the shooting incident that occurred on 4-28-19 off N Cherry Street in Seneca, this investigation has been ongoing. The investigation thus far has shown the actual shooting took place outside the business (Bistro 27) listed in the original report. The original altercation did start in the business earlier, but the actual shooting did not occur there but in the parking lot of the convenience store next door. We are still actively seeking cooperative witnesses to the shooting and ask that anyone with relevant information contact us or Crime Stoppers at 1/888-CRIMESC.” One person was wounded in the shooting, but on Monday Covington said that individual was expected to make a full recovery.
