City of Clemson town hall meetings

Here’s a question being asked by the city of Clemson: “What do speed bumps, traffic, Highway 123, the Crescent Trail, sidewalks, student housing, changing how council members are elected, small cell nodes, Nettles Park enhancements, an electric power relay station, short term rental standards, student fellowships, CAT bus service, town & gown relations, capital projects, the proposed Keowee Trail project, the comprehensive plan, Clemson Park, and sign standards have in common?” Each has been a topic addressed at City Council meetings since January of this year and each has the potential to change life for the citizens of Clemson and surrounding communities. One other thing they have in common: they are complex issues that, according to the city, need to be examined from multiple perspectives. The City Council seeks the public’s guidance. Meetings are designed to engage the community in shaping the future of Clemson. And the Clemson public is encouraged to attend an engagement meeting and be a voice for the Clemson that they would like to see.
