“Citizens Police Academy” holds 8th graduation ceremony

The 8th graduation ceremony for the “Citizens Police Academy” of the Oconee Sheriff’s Office was held last week, with 18 of the 19 graduates in attendance.  The graduates received certificates from the State Senate and a challenge coin from the sheriff’s office.  Ceremony speakers were Sheriff Crenshaw, Senator Alexander, and Stephen Scruggs, plant manager of Schneider Electric.  Plans are underway for the 2022 edition of the academy, and those interested in the course may now start to apply.
