Christmas celebrated last week at two Oconee schools

The student-led non-profit Clemson Hope wrapped and delivered more than 1,100 presents for children at Oconee’s James Brown and Westminster elementary schools. It was part of their Adopt-A-Classroom campaign. The gifts came from community members who donate toys or give money to Clemson Hope to purchase toys on their behalf. Groups of two-to-five Clemson Hope volunteers split off into each classroom, where they spent time interacting with the children. Sara Mann, James Brown first grade teacher, said, “These will be the only gifts some of these children get for Christmas.”
