Chief of Police sets record straight

The police in Seneca say they now believe their suspects in two days of burglaries at the local homeless shelter acted together.  Chief Covington says the crimes occurred at Our Daily Rest on E. Main on both Tuesday and Wednesday.  One of the accused gave a Utica address; the other, a Tennessee address.  Covington says, “Ten new warrants have been obtained.  Each suspect now has a total of 6 charges each.”  The chief called what happened a crime of opportunity as, the police believe, the motive was to steal bicycles.
