Charles “Jim” Ramey
Mountain Rest – Charles “Jim” William Ramey, 81, husband of Trenna Dale Ivester Ramey, passed away on Monday, March 21st, 2022 at St. Francis Eastside Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Oconee County, South Carolina, Jim was the son of the late William David Ramey and Irene Hancox Ramey. Jim was a retired self-employed carpenter and was elder at the New Life Praise and Worship. Jim was a United States Army Veteran and an avid fisherman and enjoyed deer hunting.
Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Trenna Dale Ivester Ramey of 57 years of marriage; a son, William David Ramey and wife Christy of Westminster; daughters, Sherry Watson and husband Rodney of Westminster, Wanda Ann Moore and Russell of Westminster, and Tracy Hendrix and husband Pastor Neal of Seneca; seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren. Jim was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by a grandson, Josh Goodson; six brothers and two sisters.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Friday, March 25th, 2022 at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at First Baptist Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Thursday, March 24th, 2022 at Sandifer Funeral Home.
