Change and virus impact at a Tamassee school campus

At the Tamassee DAR, they are following the guidelines and recommendations from the CDC and the health agencies, and others. Jon Holland, the interim administrator, says they have in place contingency plans to handle any student and staff, how they would handle if anyone is diagnosed. The concern there is not just students. According to Holland, several members of the staff have underlying health issues for whom the virus is an extreme concern. Unrelated to the worldwide virus spread, Tamassee DAR announced this week that it is permanently ending a 100-year practice of boarding students on the campus, but the school will continue its mission of educating students. We’ll explore that decision in the coming day or so here on 101.7/WGOG NEWS.
