Chairman says record numbers took part

In a former gymnasium in Seneca, record numbers of Oconeeans took part in the county party’s re-organization meeting, according to the chairman.  Bill Jerome says that on Saturday, precinct officers were elected and delegates chosen for the county convention April 10.  “At this time,” says Jerome, “it looks like 27 of Oconee County’s 31 precincts were organized and that over 300 total delegates were elected.”  It’s at the county convention, April 10, that party officers are to be elected and delegates chosen for the state party convention.
