A 12-and-under Westminster recreation volleyball team won the state championship.  The girls, and their coach Lacy Fant, were applauded last night by Westminster City Council and given certificates denoting their accomplishment.  They posed for pictures behind a banner that contained the names of each volleyballer.  Councilman Mefleh said, “You made us proud.”

As much as many, the members of the Walhalla jayvee football team have had to overcome COVID-19 challenges this year.  Last night, however, the Razor jayvees won their first game of the year, beating Travelers Rest 26-14.

Chief Deputy Kevin Davis of the Oconee Sheriff’s Office says an investigation is ongoing into an incident in which a man at Seneca allegedly exposed himself to a youngster.  The arrest of Adam Lane Wheeler, 32 years old, took place Wednesday.  According to Davis, the accused is charged in a warrant with exposure of private parts in a lewd manner.
