Townville man accused of meth crime

A Townville man has been arrested by Oconee sheriff’s officers in a case that originated from what’s called a controlled buy from a confidential informant working at the direction of law enforcement.  According to the sheriff’s office, Mitchell Montrell Weston allegedly distributed between 100 and 200 grams of methamphetamine last summer in Oconee County.

Sheriff’s Office announces seven adult victims of sex crimes

  One man is now accused of committing sex crimes against seven adults, according to an announcement yesterday by Oconee Sheriff’s Office.  Seneca resident Trey Jerell Frasier has been charged additionally with the sexual assault of two more victims, in warrants obtained Wednesday.  By yesterday, 27-year old Frasier remained jailed, under a combined surety bond of $830 thousand dollars.

Today’s COVID-19 numbers from the state

New confirmed South Carolina cases on today’s DHEC report:  184 individuals.  Three in Oconee County.  Statewide, there was one new death–a middle aged Spartanburg County resident who died Sunday.  Of 7,980 test results, the South Carolina positivity dropped to 3%.  These numbers are data that reflect the end of the day on Tuesday.
