96.3/WGOG NEWS learned this morning that all four Seneca incumbents will run for new terms in office. And all four–Durham, Ward, Riley, and Alewine–plan to show up at noon today in Walhalla for the start of qualifying. As one of them termed it, the turnout is to demonstrate that the four are running “as a team.”

Hikers airlifted from park

The North Carolina Helicopter and Aquatic Rescue Team (NCHART) airlifted three stranded South Carolina hikers who spent a bitterly cold and wet night on the Appalachian Trail in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Lawmakers to meet the public tonight

Oconee’s state lawmakers will discuss the start of a new legislative session tonight. The delegation’s annual meeting also serves as a chance for members of the public to address the lawmakers. All requests for spots on the agenda, however, were due by last Thursday. Tonight’s delegation meeting begins at 5:30 at the Seneca City Hall.
