Trash dump catches on fire

Fire broke out early last night inside the pit at the Oconee County commercial and demolition landfill near Seneca. The call came around 7:30 and they were able to put a stop to what was a fire that measured 100 by 100 feet. Seneca fire fighters sprayed water onto the fire and a bulldozer moved dirt to smother the flames.
