About 458 thousand striped bass were stocked in Lake Hartwell by the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources Thursday and Friday—including a stocking at Twin Lakes Recreation Area near the Pickens County/Anderson County line. A young man with ties to both Oconee County and two northeast Georgia counties has been ordered to prison for 16 years for burglary and larceny.
