A 32-year old man in Anderson has been sent to prison for 40 years at the end of a murder trial in the General Sessions Court. An encounter with sub-surface rock slowed Streetscape progress late yesterday afternoon in Walhalla. The impediment caused by rock beneath the ground is something that workers expect to re-cur through out the project. Street light upgrade in Clemson

The City of Clemson requests motorists and the general public to use caution and expect delays through Friday when traveling through the intersection of Keith Street and College Avenue. As part of the Downtown LED Street Light Upgrade project, the traffic signals for the intersection will be temporarily disabled to allow for construction of the new street lights.

Salem area events for “Honoring Their Service”

Salem played host today to the visiting Marines. Thirty-eight Marines enjoyed breakfast this morning at the community building and were welcomed with remarks by the mayor, Dianne Head. Once the breakfast finished, the Marines were given a police escort leaving town for nearby Little River Community, where Little River’s Jim Williams will lead the Marines on a river adventure.

Repair work completed!

Workers completed repairs to a sewer line break near Seneca at 2:30 this morning. They replaced eighty-feet of pipe on the Reedy Fork Road, after seepage was discovered Monday.
