Commissioners want more hangars

On average, the Oconee Regional Airport gets four to five inquiries a week about hangar space.  That comment last night by Jeff Garrison, the new airport director, led the aeronautics commissioners to push once again for more hangars.  Garrison and the commissioners, however, agree that will be expensive.  Grading for the last proposal was estimated at $500 thousand.

Repairs to a broken water line north of Walhalla were completed at 1 o’clock this morning.
